Silverudd's Blue SOP chart.

Chart showing lavender gene inheritance in bird breeding with percentages of lavender, splits, and black outcomes.

This chart is a good representation of our Isabel Brahmas. Since Isabel is a lavender gene variety. To maintain a nice diluted penciling in the hens, it is imperative to have gold partridge splits in your stock. Splits mean there is 1 copy of the isabel (lavender) gene but will not have the apearance of isabel but rather can carry that gene to their offspring.  Our hatchlings will not come out 100% isabel. Some gold partridge splits will appear.
